To serve its growing base of software developer customers around the world, the company needed to expand an annual week of webinars into a full virtual conference with live keynotes and sessions. After selecting the event platform provider, the company needed an experienced partner to manage all the online programs associated with the conference, including speaker management, content management, demand generation, and management of the overall webinar technology and production.
The company engaged us to provide full-service program management for the one-week, “follow the sun” online conference spanning the pacific daylight, Greenwich mean, and India time zones. Our pre-event, production, and post-event work included managing sponsors, speakers, communications plans, and social media plans. We also scheduled and trained the webinar producers, managed rehearsals and decks for each session, hosted the sessions, and provided a technical manager to oversee the INXPO technology partner.
Ultimately, we delivered 70 unique live sessions for 1,047 developers during the two-week period. Attendance goals were exceeded by 226%, and the event was such a success that we were able to secure increased buy-in and support from company executives and product evangelists for the following year’s conference. More teams within the company have decided to adopt the same virtual conference format for their large, global events.
